Commercial (Associate) Asset Manager

What will you do?
As a Commercial Asset Manager you will be supporting the team in Utrecht and its 20 employees. Your work will be focused on reporting the financial performance to relevant stakeholders, keeping documentation up-to-date, and managing information flows, including the following tasks:
- Preparing reports to the shareholders and external parties such as (co-)shareholders and lenders, and coordinating the timely receival of required information
- Analysis of financial performance and risks, and suggest actions that improve our business case
- Initial point of contact for project stakeholders (such as land owners, contractors, energy offtakers) on financial and commercial topics
- Processing of information request from our project stakeholders and government agencies, and coordinating the timely submission of required information
- Ensuring the registration and compliance of the project companies to the relevant agencies and reporting mechanisms
- Maintaining the project documentation system, and assuring it is complete and of high quality
- Contribute to improvement and professionalisation initiatives of the operational organization
You will report to our head of Asset Management and work from our office in Utrecht.
On individual projects you would be an integral part of our team and work closely together with other asset managers (both technical and commercial).
Required education and attributes
The candidate should have at least 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, finance, or economics (or equivalent). In addition, the candidate should demonstrate:
- Strong analytical skills, eye for detail and high quality standards
- Experienced in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Understanding of financial accounting
(knowledge of standard legal procedures would be a great plus)
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written in Dutch and English
(an additional language such as French or German would be a great plus)
- Personal interest in sustainable business
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- An ability to take initiatives and take responsibility for allocated tasks
- Honesty, reliability and adaptability to juggle a range of different tasks and stakeholders
- A willingness and ability to work in cross border teams
