Construction manager

Sunvest is looking for a construction manager, who represents Sunvest during the contracting and construction of our solar PV plants in The Netherlands, France and Germany.
Tasks and responsibilities
The scope of this role will include:
• Negotiates scope and technical requirements to be implemented in EPC contract
• Coordinates the answering of questions and follow-up on risks resulting from Technical Due diligence workstreams
• Responsible for the delivery of new projects with the approved budget and planning.
• Monitors, acts on, and reports on the main project risks.
• Represents Sunvest as employer during construction.
• Coordination with EPC contractor and lenders technical advisor on progress, quality, and planning
• Regular site visits to attend (and lead) construction meetings, and oversee quality of the works (In cooperation with lenders advisor)
• Ensure that construction and design of the solar park is in line with stakeholder requirements (insurance, PPA, grid operator, permits, SHE, asset management)
• Evaluation of proposed changes in design & contracts
• First point of contact to the grid operator (in close collaboration with ProfiNRG)
• Direct coordination and contracting of landscaping works & civil works outside of EPC scope
• Coordination of interfaces during construction (such as EPC, grid, landscaping, O&M)
• Prepares the monthly construction reports
Candidate experience
• Post-graduate degree (HBO+), preferably in an engineering field or with relevant experience in the engineering field
• 5-10 years experience, preferably as an engineer, advisor, project manager in Solar PV
• Is hands-on, pragmagtic and creative
• Is able to create and maintain high level overview, does not get lost into detail
• Solid sparring partner towards contractors, project stakeholders and management
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, prioritize.
• Experience with integrated contracting frameworks (such as FIDIC Gold)
• Languages: English AND either Dutch, French or, German language skills.
