Each project starts with a landowner or farmer wanting to find out if their land is suitable for an agri-solar park.
The first step on our side is the assessment of the land. Our intake team looks at the size, its agricultural quality, proximity to nearby residents, its location in the landscape, zoning plan, local policies and grid connection possibilities and the land use.
If this assessment turns out to be positive, we will discuss the plan together. During this phase, we will examine how to combine the agricultural business with panels on part of the land.
If we want to move forward together, Sunvest’s engineers will create a technical design. This design is the basis for calculating the compensation Sunvest will offer. We jointly decide in an agreement whether Sunvest will lease or buy the land.
After our offer, the landowner submits the agreement to his advisers and we adapt the agreement to suit the landowner’s situation.
We conclude this chapter with a signature, after which Sunvest gets to work on getting a permit.
