Solar park Overbetuwe

The Netherlands

Solar Park Overbetuwe is sited on the strip of land between the A15 motorway and the Betuwe route (regional road) from the Valburg junction to the Ressen junction. The solar park is not visible from the north side (where the largest residential areas are located) due to the noise barrier along the Betuwe route.

The project site that is 71 hectares in size has 11 landowners, each of whom has a different  agrarian background, from cattle farming to agricultural production. A local shepherd even uses the solar park site to graze his sheep on!

The scenic integration features a tree row on the north side and an eco-friendly bank on the south. We also encourage sheep grazing to manage the landscape, control invasive plants, and promote biodiversity.

Local community

Part of the profits earned by the solar park flows back into the local community through an environmental fund. In addition, Sunvest is currently engaged in a new funding participation process by selling Solar Panel share certificates.
